The Hitman's Possession
Liam Hunter is a ruthless hardened hitman, living in South Boston & known as the animal. He is good at his job, enjoys having sex & only seems to care about hoarding the money he earns from his contracts. He believes women are made to pleasure him & nothing more. One night he hears screams on his walk home, a woman's screams. He's curious, so he takes the time to see what the noise is all about. He discovers three Russian mobsters in black suits & cover in tattoos man handling a young blond woman begging for help. Liam asks them to let the woman go but is told to mind his own business. When he refuses the mobsters try to teach Liam a lesson but it is Liam & the young woman, Wendy/Tess, that walk away. Liam finds out that she belonged to a bigwig Russian mobster named Zharkov & he is going to want his property back. But Liam now believes that Wendy/Tess belongs to him because he has killed to save her. And he is expecting her to show some appreciation for what he has done. It becomes apparent that the Russians & his own people are now looking for him so the girl can be returned. Liam decides he is going to fight & kill if necessary for what he believes is his, Tess. The longer they are together the more Liam's past seems to creep into his thoughts to take his focus off what needs to be done. Will Liam be able to do what needs to be done? Will Liam be able to protect Tess? Will Liam & Tess be able to be more?
The Hitman's Property
Liam is in a bind because all of the money he has earned as a hitman has been taken. He is determined to recover the stolen money & wants to payback the boss for stealing it from him. He looks to Tommy Green a well know Boston Fixer to help him solve his immediate equipment problems. Liam returns to the hotel where he left Tess & panics when she isn't in the room. When she emerges from the bathroom she is still angry at Liam for the fight they had before he left on his errand. They talk about what lead to the fight & Liam realizes he has never opened up to anyone before now. But he starts by sharing a little story from his past about his father, younger brother & himself. Tess starts to see how Liam may not be good at opening up because of the things he's been through. They reconcile & make-up use their physical desire for one another to lead the way. They both decide they are a team & when Liam goes after the boss, Tess refuses to let him go alone. Liam lets Tess tag along as long as she stays in the car to be their get away driver. Liam makes it to his old hang out & even against all odds he manages to get his money back from the boss. But Liam discovers Tess is missing from the car when he returns. He believes she may have just left but finally sees a note she left written with her eyeliner that the Russians took her. Liam is going to get her back at all costs. She is his & no one elses. Liam is forced to follow a lead that takes him to NYC & there he witnesses women being used & sold in ways he never imagined. Will Liam be able to find Tess? Will he find her before it is too late? Will Liam & Tess have a future to look forward too?
'Til Death The Hitman's Bride
Now that Liam has asked Tess to marry him, it is only a matter of planning the wedding & getting married. Everything seems to be going perfect until one night while Tess is walking home she hears a whistling that she remembers from her childhood. She doesn't want to believe it could be the man from her past that used to whistle like that & decides not to tell Liam about it. The next time she hears the whistling though, her father confronts her & asks if she is finally willing to go with him. She is frozen in both fear & anger because the last time she saw her father was over her dead mother's body with him holding the bloody knife that killed her. This time Tess cannot keep meeting her father from Liam because he was watching from their front door when it happened. Liam is disgusted by what Tess' father wants & is willing to kill him on the spot. But much to Liam's discouragement he is unable to find the father & Tess comes up with a plan to lure him out. Things go horribly wrong & both Tess & Liam are left with minor injuries a determination to not let this bad circumstance ruin their wedding. Tess' father has one more surprise in store for her, he shows up to the wedding festivities as one of her guests plus one. What will Tess & Liam do when they realize her father is coming to the wedding? Will Tess & Liam still get married? Will Tess or Liam be able to kill her father?
First thing, if you don't like your romance stories dark, stay away from this one. This is a rough around the edges bad to the bone kind of take no prisoners story. Our male lead had no problem believing women are just there for his gratification. The story starts out real rough but as the two characters start spending more time together it smooths out. The first book is down right dirty & violent. The second book delivers excitement & thrill, you find yourself encouraging our couple to make it. These two lost & broken souls have found one another & just when it was possible to move forward they are torn apart. As the fight to find their way back to each other unfolds untold horrors are thrown in the mix. It is a story about learning to trust the one that you love will love you back & accept you for who you are. That walking together to heal is possible when you can have someone you can trust. The novella closes with a sweet tale of our couple moving on but a brutal reminder of the past doesn't want to let go. When Tess & Liam work as a team to rid themselves of this problem, they are able to live their HEA. I won't deny that I am a big fan of Tia Lewis & really enjoy her books. I especially liked the sweet but twisted closing novella that gave Tess her revenge. This book is meant for mature readers & is dark & touches on subject matter that may not be suitable for all readers.

I simply cannot believe that I enjoyed reading this incredible story about a brutal murder planned around a fancy wedding! But knowing that the "father of the bride" finally got what he had coming to him? Well, it was all worth it! This particular bride and groom led lives filled with unimaginable terror. That they were able to find one another, to love and trust one another, to actually bloom where they were planted, so to speak? It made all of the previous scary tales worth every creepy shiver that I suffered through in order to get this far. I got a dilly of an HEA, and so will you!

Holy smokes this book was so hot and gory; I love the combo by the way. The entire book is told in Liam's POV which a little different for me but I enjoyed it. Liam saves Tess from the Russian mafia and that is how their heartwarming love story begins. I'm lying their story is anything but heartwarming. Liam is a cold blooded hit man and Tess is a survivor from sex trafficking. Liam is not a nice guy but Tess begins to change him and he doesn't like it. Suddenly everything is against them can they handle it? Will Liam leave Tess behind and return to his dark world?
I need Book 2 ASAP ;)
Hitman's Property
Holy smokes! Liam, The Animal, is on the prowl and there will be blood baths. This book picks up where we left off in Hitman's Possession with Liam having to apologize for being a buttmole. Since this is the conclusion to Liam and Tess's story there is a lot that goes on beginning with the confrontation in the Drunken Harpy. Liam goes to confront his old boss and uncovers some truths that had been hidden.
I loved Liam's dedication to Tess and the way he would do anything to protect and save her. There are some parts in this story that were very hard to read, but it did add to story. My heart hurt for Liam and Kevin and their heartbreaking story. This book is like the mascot to the saying "you have to get through the bad to get to the good."
Till Death
One last enemy from the past returns. Will our couple be able to overcome this last obstacle?
Loved all three books. They both went through a lot to find their HEA. Yes, I would agree they were perfect for each other.
I really enjoyed this series and the added novella I loved. Tess & Liam are a conventional couple but it works for them. If you like dark, mafia reads and crazy assassins then pick this series up. Once you start reading this series you will not want to put it down
Loved reading more about Tess and Liam in the Til Death Novella hitman Bride. This is where they are planning there wedding and they think everything is going good and things getting normal, until Tess dad shows up and now they are not sure if the wedding is going to happen. In the end I'm glad that things worked out for them. Both books and the novella is a must read. This Novella is a perfect ending to the series. I voluntarily received an Advanced Readers Copy of this novella.
